This is the Nova Scotia version of a gyro/shawarma/doner kebab. It’s called a donair and it’s topped with a garlic-and-condensed milk sauce. Much tastier than it sounds. Someday, after I’ve earned a few Pulitzers, I’m going to make a coffee table book of kebabs from around the world. It’ll be goddamn amazing.I would buy that coffee table book in a heartbeat.
